Artist Submissions

We are seeking artists of all mediums to interpret stories from women who have experienced abuse into pieces of art to be shared at our Stories & Art: No Longer Hidden event.

Before submitting an Expression of Interest, please read the following:

-All performance art will be performed live at the event. Performance artists must be available to attend and bring any equipment needed for their performance (instruments, amplifiers, etc.).  
-Artist must commit to being able to create the piece of art between September 15th and January 31, 2025.
-The artist must agree that any physical art will be in the care of Kelowna Women’s Shelter from February 15th until March 13^th, 2025, at which time the artist can choose to have their piece returned to them or donate it to KWS.
-The artist must not profit from their creation, or share the story without explicit consent.
